Hello, I did some searching and tried several proposed solutions for something like this in the forum but still cannot get the flow to work. I would like to have a flow that backs up my outlook calendar to an excel spreadsheet. It would do so on a regular integral like at the end of each day. Here is sample of flow I have tried.
I can see in the failed output message like this. It's like its trying to read my calendar and takes several minutes to run but its getting 404s. I have tried playing with the "skip count" and "top count" numbers.
Hi, its back to being successful on a run but still never puts anything into the excel sheet. It's okay, I'm good exporting this by hand since this just doesn't work. I have other flows that have no problem writing to an excel file so I don't understand why this one is not working. Thanks for trying to help!
If you are looking to add events from outlook to excel sheet, then you could use "Get calendar view of events" action. In that action, you could pass the start time as start of the day & end time as the start of next day. It will give you all the events which are schedule for current date in daily recurrence flow run. Those results you could save in the excel sheet. Here is an example:
After recurrence action, add "Get calendar view of events (V3)" action and set the expression in Start time & End time parameters. Both expressions need to be added in the expression box as highlighted below:
I tried completely rebuilding the flow from scratch and also tried having it go to a spreadsheet on a sharepoint as opposed to my one drive. The flow is successful, looks okay, but never writes anything into the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet looks like this.
I will be sending out a whole lot of calendar invites (250+) from my Outlook for a virtual event. I want to track the status of the calendar invites in terms of who all has accepted the invite / declined / tentative (RSVP status). I would like to export this into Excel to be able to update the contact database at my end with the RSVP status.
I would like to import my Outlook Calendar into one of my bases - but I can only export the calendar as a CSV or Outlook extension. Is there a way do this? I see that I can IMPORT into Outlook with an ics extension, but none for the opposite?
I have "Reviewer" access to a shared (Exchange) calendar, but when I go through the process to manually export to CSV I am only able to view/select my personal calendar to download.Do I have the appropriate permissions? Is there a solution I'm missing or some manual step I can take that would make one of the following solutions work?
Per a response I received on Microsoft's community forum, "It's nothing you are doing. Owner permissions aren't enough - you can't share or export calendars that are not in an account in your profile. You'd need to add the mailbox to your profile using the username and password. Or use an external utility.
So trying to help someone convert their Outlook calendar to ics to share online. Works fine... But like 50% of their entries were manually marked private. I have tried checking the "Include details of items marked private". This will send their stuff to ics but it just shows Private Appointment and they need the name of the meeting/whatever. So is there a way to mass unprivate these entries or get this from an export?
Even though checking the "Include details of items marked private" box does save the dates and starting and ending times of private items in the ICS file, it does NOT include any of the actual meeting information such as title, people, etc. All it does is that it includes the private items, instead of leaving them out of the ICS file completely.
Editing the ICS to remove the CLASS: PRIVATE from items, as suggested here, does NOT allow one to see the actual content of the item because no such information is saved in the ICS file. The title of the item will be "Private appointment" even if you set class to public.
The only workaround I can think of is to remove the private label from these meetings in Outlook but put in some other marker that they are private. Then save the ICS file, then go into that file and edit the CLASS to be private on those items, searching for them based on the marker created. Seems like quite a bit of manual labor, unless there is some way to do both steps as a batch.
Now you have all details of the elements in the ICS file. If you need to "unprivate" the elements for further use, open the ICS file with any notepad and replace all occurences of CLASS:PRIVATE with CLASS:PUBLIC.

I'm struggling to export Smartsheet Information into Outlook 365 calendar. I'm trying to create a group calendar specific to resources(people) assigned to task(s) within my SmartSheet schedules so to have each individual assigned to a Smartsheet task in order to get an overall view of each persons time spend on multiple projects. These individuals may also be assigned to other business commitments (maintenance / repair) that are NOT a Smartsheet activity.
Also note that this is a one-way sync, meaning changes must be made in Smartsheet to have them reflected in the Outlook calendar. (Changes can't be made from the Outlook side.) More information on publishing to Outlook can be found in the help center: -publishing-a-smartsheet-calendar-to-ical
I opened a support ticket, but I can't close this pop-up no matter what I click or what browser I use and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight. I'm LOCKED OUT of my work because of some stupid UI refresh alert. ?
Want to know how many pointless meetings Chad from Marketing has invited you to in the last year? Wondering when the last time your supervisor had a one-to-one with you was? Maybe you just want to do some analytics on your time spent so you can see where the days go?
Whatever the reason, a spreadsheet that can be searched, sorted, and filtered---or pumped into an analytics app like Power BI---is often the best way to analyze data and find the information you're looking for.
Finally, click the "Finish" button. This is the end of the export wizard, but because you're exporting a calendar, you'll be given the option to choose the start and end dates for the data you want before the export starts.
Once the progress panel has closed, the export will be finished. Navigate to where you saved the CSV and open it in your desired program. You'll see data on every appointment in your calendar within the date range you chose.
I have searched for directions on how to EXPORT all mail/calendar items/contacts/data/and whatever else is in eMail Client to Outlook 2016. All that I seem to get is how to IMPORT. Obviously, not helpful.
You can do this through Menu > File > Export. But if you need some instructions, you can go to the Help File (F1) and search for Export. The first 4 articles listed are the ones you need. You can export your messages to .eml, your contacts to .vcf, and events and tasks to .ics.
