I am horrible at papercrafts. When I was a kid I was great at them, but now, I have no idea what I'm doing, especially with my giant fingers! I would REALLY LOVE a collection of much simpler models using simple shapes like cylinders, truncated cones, and flat textures. The Poodle's spheroid object, for instance, would be a single cylinder or cone, and the Mk1-2 Command Pod would be just one flat cone without windows and the three different sub-cones.

If I have this in the wrong area please move. Wasnt sure where to put this:)

This is a papercraft model I did of Suzanne because shes a cool monkey and its Blender.

I wanted to keep the model exact as I could to the model already in Blender. Only thing I edited was around the eyes sense the model needs to be a single mesh(non-manifold I think its called) for making it into paper. I then used Pepakura Designer to unfold and build with cardstock.

All the small parts and closing it off was tricky. This model took me a while to build. Main hard thing was inside of the ears. I may show photos of what I mean exactly so it can help anyone that wants to build it.

Have included different textures so u can change the color or if you like you can import your own texture over it. If you need help just ask:)

Im staying with Pepakura. Not sure how good that script is either. Thanks for the link though Ill check it out. I heard about one for 2.49 a while back and didnt know there was one for 2.5x. Might be good if your doing only one papercraft for yourself but me and paperjon do many papercrafts and release it to everyone. Also Pepakura files are really good when building so you know where each pieces goes. I would go insane trying to figure out where parts connect without it. Like for example putting a puzzle together without the image to guide where the puzzle pieces go. Cant do it lol.

Yeah that is all correct, i have no idea how i used to build from PDF before i started designing. Pepakura I like Blender I love, I hate overpriced programs like certain blender alternatives but Pepakura is unique and still reasonably priced Anyway going off topic this model is awesome and i sure hope more people here check it out

Hey there!

My name is Janna Willoughby-Lohr and I am the owner and artist behind Papercraft Miracles. Based in my hometown of Buffalo, NY, I have been a poet, artist and musician for most of my life, writing my first little poems starting at just age 5. I attended Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC where I developed my love and craft of book arts under the instruction of renowned book artist, Gwen Diehn. It was at WWC where I decided that I wanted to create art for my living...but I didn't want to be a starving artist. So I created my own major, Integrative Studies with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Creative Business Arts...or \"how to make money from art\" for short! I created Papercraft Miracles (the idea anyway) way back in 2004 and it has grown into a way of life for me. In January 2016, I left my full-time day job to become \"Work-at-home-mom\" or WAHM to our little dude and started doing art full-time. I have been getting all my ducks in a row and am finally getting my papermaking studio set up. It will be running at full capacity by April 2016.

I love creating artwork that is not only beautiful to look at, but that is functional and feels good in your hands. In the days where so much of the world is going digital, I feel called, even more now, to preserve and promote the physicality of book and paper arts.

There's just something about handling paper that simultaneously sends to to the moon and brings me back to earth.

Thank you for visiting and taking you time to learn about me and my work. Custom work is always available and I love a challenge! If you can dream up an idea....I can make it come to life.

Janna
