Burning Desire" is a song by American singer and songwriter Lana Del Rey. Initially available for digital download upon pre-ordering Del Rey's third EP, Paradise,[1] "Burning Desire" was released as a promotional single on March 19, 2013.[2] One month earlier, a music video for the song was released on Valentine's Day. Lyrically composed by Lana Del Rey and her long-time collaborator, Justin Parker, the record was produced by Emile Haynie.

In 2012, Del Rey was named the new figurehead of the latest brand of the Jaguar F-Type automobile. To promote the photoshoot, she sang "Burning Desire" at the Paris Motor Show, wearing red lipstick and a white sundress.[3][4][5][6]

The song is composed by Del Rey and Justin Parker, co-author of the bulk of Born to Die. "Burning Desire" is a tragically-themed love song, with the lyrics: "I drive fast, wind in my hair/ I push it to the limits/ 'Cause I just don't care".[7][8] Breathless pants and groans begin the track.[9] On writing the song, Del Rey said:

A promotional video for "Burning Desire" appeared online on Valentine's Day of 2013, featuring Del Rey as her usual lounge singer persona, interspersed with snippets of the Jaguar F-Type.[7] Directed by Anthony Shurmer [10] the video was filmed in the Rivoli Ballroom in London's South end.[7] The video contains "bright red floral imagery, California landmarks name-checked, reckless automotive shout-outs, old Hollywood imagery and cinematic glamour, some epic lipstick[...]".[7] NME called the video "typically sumptuous", heavy on the product placement.[11] Desire Thompson of VIBE noted that Del Rey channeled her inner Jessica Rabbit in the 1960s social-scene video for the promotional single.[12]

Music reviewer Carl Williot wrote that on "Burning Desire", "Lana is no longer willing to let you play your video games, she's the active agent."[13] Nicole Sia of SPIN said the video was a straightforward affair, channeling Del Rey's typical retro-inspired style, interloped with old-fashioned video clips.[9] "Fast cars might not be everyone's idea of paradise, but at least for LDR it pays the bills." Sia concluded.[9] After hearing the song, The Independent dubbed the singer, "Queen of sultry pop".[8]

The song serves as the title track to a 13-minute promotional short film for the Jaguar F-Type, called Desire.[7][8] The film, directed by Adam Smith, produced by Ridley Scott[14][15] and stars Damian Lewis.[7] Filmed in Chile in 2012, the film was launched in April 2013 at the Sundance Film Festival and available for free streaming online.[8] In the movie, Lewis going by the name Sydney Clarke delivers the Jaguar F-Type to a notorious gangster named Ernesto Martinez (played by Jordi Molla) and finds trouble in a love interest (played by Shannyn Sossamon) in a desert setting.[16]

"Burning Desire" (also registered as "Jaguar"[1] ) is a song by Lana Del Rey, released as a digital bonus track on her third EP, and second major-label release, Paradise. The track was written by Del Rey and Justin Parker and produced by Emile Haynie.

"Burning Desire" was only available to purchase on the iTunes edition of Paradise and on most of the digital and physical editions of Born to Die - The Paradise Edition. The track also served as the second promotional single from Paradise. It was originally available for immediate download with the pre-order of Paradise, but was later released as a stand-alone digital on March 19, 2013. The song was also used as a promotional tool for Jaguar; the company created a music video for the song to promote a new car.

I love how there is a double interpretation to the lyrics. On one side she is relating to her new, fast, fascinating car, but on the other side she is hiding once again a relationship, man between the lines. While reading the lyrics, I either had an image about her driving alone in the car or her being with a guy but not inside the car. For some reason I can't imagine the two as a whole, combined big picture. Real creative.

In very much of Lana's songs, she depicts herself as almost insane, and it gives her song a kind of haunting essence. In this song, I think she is saying, she is so in love, or maybe even so obsessed, with this man, she will do pretty much anything to get to him and be with him. She has a burining desire and need to be with him.

No. this is more deep that just a relationship. Way more deep. First of all this song was made just to launch a new car, i don't know if you have seen the video but i think the car company payed her to make a song for the ad.

Second of all, one of lana's favorite books is "think and grow rich" by napoleon hill. I haven't read all of it but the book talks about how if you think of something a lot it becomes your reality and that theory is called "burning desire" they actually describe it like that "burning desire" so she took it from that book and made the song because it is an ambitious song i guess.

There are a lot of ways this song can be interpreted, but I think it's pretty straight forward. No mystery here. This song is clearly about the time that Elvis Presley shoved his veined and swollen blood bomber into Ann-Margret's winkin' pink brownie cake, pulled out a big fat pitted cherry, and shot cream filling all over the wet, pendulous lard bags on her chest.

Brit and Ivor Novello award winner Lana Del Rey todayreleased the video for 'Burning Desire'. It was written andcomposed by the singer songwriter and will feature as the titletrack to a special film called 'Desire' starring Golden Globewinner Damian Lewis, which has been created by Jaguar and the awardwinning producers Ridley Scott Associates.

The 'Burning Desire' music video was filmed on location inSouth East London at the infamous Rivoli Ballroom, a Grade IIlisted former cinema that was transformed in the 1950's and is theonly remaining intact ballroom from its period inLondon.

The film that features the track tells the story of Clark(Damian Lewis), who delivers cars for a living, running intotrouble after a chance encounter with a mysterious, young woman(Shannyn Sossamon) in the middle of a lawless desert. Directed byAdam Smith, this is a story of betrayal, retribution, passion andgreed. The film will be released in Spring 2013.

The rap in the song was later revealed to be a rap sample from "Best Service Hallelujah." The same sample rap tune is used in the Social Link theme "Joy."[1][2] The Reload version from Persona 3 Reload replaces the rap sample with original lyrics performed by Lotus Juice, said lyrics still containing references the original sample.

So dance, if you want go ahead

Free to do whatever, I'm chilling on my bed

I'm minding my biz, so mind your own biz

Whatever life gives, We're gonna flow with he said

Hey hey hey, fueling the fire with a burning desire

Everyday we're inspired, but it never expires

But we're gonna chill today

Let me rock the world tomorrow, you know?

Chill vibes, the night time I love

Designed to unwind any types of rides yeah I'm down

Sit back and relax to the sound

That goes around and around and around and around

She said, hey hey hey

Fueling the fire with a burning desire

Everyday we're inspired but it never expires

But we're gonna chill today

Let me rock the world tomorrow yeah.

"Hellfire" is a song from Disney's 1996 animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The song, sung by the film's main antagonist Judge Claude Frollo, was intended to contrast with the song "Heaven's Light" sung by Quasimodo moments earlier as he expressed his feelings of love for Esmeralda, while later, Frollo sings of his lust for Esmeralda.

This song is considered to be one of the darkest songs in any Disney film, depicting Hell, damnation, lust, and sin, examples of subject matter that would generally be considered inappropriate for younger audiences. The sequence also contains heavy visuals to match the lyrics, including provocative dancing from images of Esmeralda in the fire.
