configuring a key for jdbc source connector in kafka connect

hi 

is there any way to configure which column of preferably combination of columns will be used for a key ? 

it seems that by default messages are created without any key so from my understanding partitioning is not relevant in this scenario 

we ended up implementing the key mapping functionality in kafka streams but it would be nice to configure keys when messages are created
