Hello All,
I use to maintain confluent-platform homebrew formula for some time (previously confluent-oss)
Now that the CLI part of the platform is a separate project, I'm not quite sure about the implications of LICENSE and such. For example, since the CLI is released only as a binary it's not possible for me to make it part of homebrew-core as a new formula `confluent-cli`. Homebrew doesn't allow binaries in the core repo. The solution is to create a home brew tap.
Didn't see any LICENSE associated with confluent cli download. Can anyone from Confluent comment on this. Is it ok to distribute CLI via a homebrew tap?
P.S Mac users will benefit a lot if confluent could package the CLI and the platform as a brew formula. Can help maintaining it.
Best Wishes
Avi
