Just to be fair to our fine neighboring city to the Southwest
Lafayette has a its own jazz and blues festival. The Uptown Jazz and
blues Festival is scheduled for August 22, 2009. Advanced tickets for
last year's evening were only $5. Can't find much about this year's
event except the date.

Regrettably, we have already missed the big Jazz festival in the
Lafayette Metro area. The Purdue Jazz Festival is held in January in
and around Purdue's campus in West Lafayette. They won't be posting
information on the 2010 festival until sometime after classes start in
the fall.
