Peru Circus Festival Week

Just a reminder that we are in the middle of Circus week just down the
road in Peru. The Circus continues every night this week and
concludes Saturday with another performance and the world famous
Circus Heritage Parade stepping off at 10 AM Saturday morning July 18,
2009.

I haven't been to the parade in exactly 25 years, but in 1984 it
simply transformed Peru. Being part of the entertainment on the
outdoor stage was a magical experience that is usually reserved for
festivals in large international cities. Our leader was a native of
Peru so that tour stop was not optional. The locals treated us all
like family even though I was the only other one to have stepped foot
in Peru previously.
