"Email address is already taken"

I am trying to add my new email to a prior account. However, it seems that when being selected for a committee someone assigned a role to this new email. So when I go to the old account and try to add the email, it says that "Email address is already taken". How do I combine this with my account so that I can have one page to manage.

I have the same problem, or even more complex.

I have two previous researchr accounts, say A and B.
I use C in a hotcrp system.
The researchr detects and send emails to A.

Now I have no way to add C to A (or B) on researchr. I got the same error message as OP.

I would like to merge these three.

I cannot reset the password for C. It shows " There is no user account yet for this email address. However, the entered email address is already associated with a profile in the system. You can claim this profile by going to the sign up page. "

I also cannot claim this profile to A or B.

I encounter the same question. I wonder if there is a way to delete my old account. That would be fine. :)
