Hi everyone,
I am Domenico Gigante, webchair for SANER 2024 (https://conf.researchr.org/home/saner-2024). What I want to have is this visual effect (screenshot taken from ICSE 2023).

In SANER 2023 I would add a workshop so that it appears as a menu entry in "Tracks" top section. Can you tell me how can I do it?
At the moment, I was able to add it only as an additional page tab into "Workshops and Tutorials Track".

Thank you!

Dear Domenico,

The second column in the Tracks menu gets added as soon as there are co-hosted events (sub-conference/workshops) that have their website integrated under the main conference (SANER 2024). That is, when they host their website on the conf.researchr.org platform. The agreed license for SANER 2024 does not cover integrated sub-conference/workshop websites.

That said, there are two alternatives to get the workshops listed in the Tracks menu:

Option 1. In the Workshops and Tutorials track, you create an event for each of the workshops (with their external websites linked in the event’s abstract). Those events can then be advertised under the Workshops and Tutorials menu item. This is configurable from the event settings tab: https://conf.researchr.org/manageEvents/saner-2024/saner-2024-workshops-and-tutorials-track-#Settings
Adding events will also automatically generate the table of accepted workshops (and tutorials) on the Workshops and Tutorials-track page.

You can see an example of this setup at https://icfp23.sigplan.org/.

Option 2. We can create dummy website instances under SANER 2024, which redirect to the external websites when clicked. You won’t be able to manage these instances, so program slots should not be assigned to those tracks.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like me to help you with either of these options.

Thank you and regards,
