Thank you so much for this tileset! I am having some trouble here on which is which. It comes with 4 files here, one is the tileset itself, the other 3 are atlas tilemaps for floors, high walls, and low walls.

Thank you so much for this tileset! I've been working with it and using it for so long but as a dev I wasn't able to use it the way I wanted to. But now I managed to do something I'm really proud of. I'm not a good artist so if there wasn't your works (as well as works of other people on this site) it would've been harder to make games for me. Thank you formaking this path easier!
Also, special thanks for updating your collection

hi ! I'm a french student and i have to make a video game for school. I was searching for a tileset for my roguelike game and i found your's perfect. I also wanted animated sprites but as everything is on the same image i dont really know how to "cut" the big image to make separates sprite sheets (for every hero and monster) to make every sprite sheet easier to use. Sorry for my bad english hope you will understand what I mean ! Thank you for your awesome work !

Hi! I am the organizer of the Week Sauce game jam, a jam about taking it easy and enjoying game development without the usual stress of competitions and timeframes. For March we wanted to give a try to making different games with the same assets, and we selected yours for all participants to use. See here: -27

Ours is a pretty chill jam, and I was excited to see how many people have expanded your asset pack with their own creations, so I encouraged people to check that list of links in your description.

If anybody here is working on a game next month (March 2024) that they want to contribute, feel free to drop by.

Thank you all so much for creating all these great resources!

I didn't use this tileset for my levels but I did use some of your characters! Thanks for your hard work and allowing us to use them for free. If you want to see what I did with them then you can check out my game here: -let-the-lights-go-out

Hello there seems to be an alligment issue with a 16x16 grid. To be more specific I was just experimenting In LDTK and the tile division is not correct. Maybe in Unity it woill work out better. But in LDTK, not

Hi, I love this tileset but was wondering how the animation works for the heroes? What images corrolate to what frames and so on. Sorry if this has already been said but it would really help with game development. Thanks!

Very good tileset! However, I am having a hard time navigating with some of the tiles. Specifically the corners. I'm new to game development and if you like, show the tiles involved in the red circles, that will be super helpful. Dumb problem, I know, sorry, T _ T

hey man, are there attacking sprites for any of the monsters? I was looking at a tutorial and I saw there was an attacking sprite for one of the mini demons, and I don't know if he made them or if it was you.

Since there were questions, let me clarify:
- you can use this tileset in both private and commercial projects
- you can modify this tileset
- you can distribute both modified and original work
- you are not required to credit me, (although I'll appreciate if you do)
- you are not required to post a link to your work to me, (although I'll appreciate if you do)

hey i want to use this one it is cool but i am so new to this that i have to ask question??? does the sprite have more the one picture or do i have to make them.??? i have seen some in slyddars video on top down platformer so you know where it is used and it is the red monster with all the teeth. i sm just going to try it later.

Hi there, your tileset has been a huge help for our university project: -creations.itch.io/revanche! I used your some of your assets as a base for my own and added some new ones as well, which I'd love to add to your collection. How can I contribute some sprites to this tileset?

I don't treat those tilesets as open contribution but if you prepare a derivative asset (additional characters, new biomes what not) and release here on itch than I'm happy to add a link to the description (currently there is only one here, but there are more in ( -ii).

And I will adding you to the in-game credits in the games next update, very sorry I had trouble finding your website as I only had your yellow monster on my PC from a while ago. I was browing just now on itch io for assets and saw similar art to that yellow monster and figured you were the creator! Glad I found you again so I could credit you!!!

Hello! Thanks for your feedback. You're correct in pointing out that the game state is fully recalculated with each interaction :-). I used Streamlit, which is an open-source Python library for creating interactive web apps for data science and machine learning. This is essentially a tech demonstration of using Streamlit for purposes certainly different than what it's creators had intended ;-)

Hi, I am new to sprites and I love this look! I am having some trouble splitting them. How have you all done it? I try Automatic split in Unity Sprite Editor, but this gives weird chunks like multiple characters stacked on each other and all the walls and floors together. However when i try to split on a 16x16 grid, it get halves of swords and little bits of crates. Is that to be expected or am I doing something wrong?

Hi! I'm working on a free-to-play episodic platformer and I'm planning to use some of your assets (actually, the main character is your dragonling from DungeonTileset II) so I'm just double checking if it's OK with you (will include the credits, ofc).

when i download the images they come out really blurred does anyone know how to stop them from compressing like this? i know that i posted a similar question before but i realised i gave wrong information thanks.

Pixel art, especially this small (16x16) would be _tiny_ to view on your (for example 1920x1080) monitor. Whatever you are using to display this image will upscale it. Your screenshot shows you are clearly using some (bi-)linear texture upscaling. For pixel art, you'll always want to use nearest neighbor texture filtering to preserve the crisp edges.

I love your stuff man! I've been wanting to use some in a game and I got the chance. Used this one for a jam yesterday, I'd love it if you could check it out! -dungeon It's really rushed but I think I only half failed at implementing the tiles. XD

Hey! I'm a university student in my final year, currently working on documenting my Bachelor's project, which I chose to be a rogue-lite game. I felt that you should be credited, as I used your tileset and I absolutely loved it.

You say that I don't have to credit you, but that doesn't seem fair. Sure you gave the permission to not be credited but it feels wrong. You, my friend, is getting a credit in my game (if I get around to finishing it)

I just wanted to say that i quite like this tileset thanks for sharing it with us. just one comment, i was wondering why some of the tiles are on a offset. you cant really use it as a tilesheet without editing. as shown below

@PreciousRoy: technically speaking, you could use it as-is with a powerful enough tile engine (with powerful meaning it supports indicating tile image coordinates). That being said, I simply prefer working with well laid out tilesets, rather than having all tiles tightly packed. It can be edited with little effor by anyone...

Just wanted to contribute back a bit. I plan on using this tileset and before I started coding I wanted to compress it and make sure it was grid aligned. So here's the final product after duplicates were removed and a few rotated variations of dirt tiles were added. The non-tile objects start on at row 81 and are aligned to a 20 by 20 grid. The characters and box are bigger than 20 so they start at the top or left of the 20 by 20 grid.

Hey just wanted to drop by and say cool tile set, I'm currently using your characters and some of the tiles for a small project I'm working on called Void Dungeon, I'll post a link here to the prototype soon!

Awesome work! Thank you for sharing it for free. I attached two image files to this comment for who want the combined tiles. I just combined these for 3x3 autotile system.
The bridge tile didn't match 16x16 pixels so I changed it size.

I've just bought this but I would like your permission to use these images on the Nintendo Switch. (I use something called 'Fuze' on the Switch to make games, I cannot import your tileset but I can copy it pixel by pixel. I hope that is okay? btw fuze games are not sold! other fuze users can play them freely) Thanks, Steve

Are you open to commissions for more tilesets similar to these? I tried looking for any form of contact you had listed but didn't see anything. You can reach me on Discord at Foerthan#5525 if you want to discuss. Thank you!

hello! Thanks for the great question :) The sprites are designed to not require a left and right walk animation as the default pose is already side facing. Try checking out some user creations in the comments for examples. Good luck! :) thanks for the kind words

Hello Secret Hideout! I bought this asset set because I'm working on a pixel art game in raw Java and your artwork is so beautifully done. My problem is I'm new to this stuff and I don't know how to interpret the animation sequences in - say - the player sprite sheet. Do you have a key that explains each sprite, or is there some kind of standard that I'm not (yet) aware of that will help me determine what's what in the sheet? Thanks again for the great art!

Hello!
You are one of a few artists who's work so far I greatly enjoy. I am an experienced game developer who is looking for a dedicated pixel artist to assist me with development of the game. I have some experience in making pixelart as well, so I would work alongside you. If you're interested, please let me know. Obviously I'd pay you for your work, and we can negotiate payment as well. I'm thinking a portion before and a portion when complete (of the decided amount).

Thank you for your consideration,
