hello Andy
although we are still hopeful to eventually win permission to get bees, we cannot keep any hives where we are at this time. however there are other groups who have gotten permission in and around montreal and this email is sent also to a couple of contacts in those groups i know of. hopefully some of them can help you out!

concordia bee collective

Dear Concordia Bee Collective,

I am hoping you will be able to either directly or indirectly, help me with a fine art photographic project I'm working on. I'm a british photographer based in Berlin, Germany and a commission for a german magazine will bring me to Montreal between the 4th – 14th September. I'm there to shoot a 'city Guide' but it is not for this that I contact you. Instead it is for a personal fine art project which I am presently working on about Bees. To be exact, I'm creating a series of images featuring Bee Hives in their locations, whether that be in the countryside or in a urban situation, whether it's one hive or many (a couple of working examples are to be found on my blog site –
www.awrprojects.blogspot.com  second from last post) I would love to take advantage of being in Montreal and find and photograph some hives if possible but its proving not such an easy task from Berlin to find contacts. I am not totally sure I have understood what I've found on the internet about your
collective, whether you yourselves have hives but I thought that if not you may possibly be about to help me out with a contact of somebody who does. Of course if you have hives I would be very excited to hear about them and I must underline that I'm looking for any type of hive and location. I hope you will be able to assist me in some way, many thanks from a wet and grey Berlin, yours most sincerely,

andy.
