Hello my lovely people,
I hope your weekend was good, and for those that attended I hope the shin-dig last Friday was great!
Just wanted to give a little overview of this upcoming week for our internship and give some updates.
Updates:
Shauna worked on her phone script and should be progressing reaching out to schools in the NDG community and documenting everything.
Nick is finishing up his documents/presentation and has been doing research on companion planting/integrating permaculture designs into the planting plan. A meeting with Planning and Development should be scheduled this week if we are ready.
Aaron B. is planning the first community meeting with folks from the NDG community, which will be squeezed in this coming weekend most likely, possibly before Shauna's wine and cheese.He is currently doing research on surveys while developing some for students, faculty and staff.
Aaron Johnston is working on his first manifesto. After attending the Sustainable Concordia structure workshop Aaron got some new insights into the organization. He is analyzing the organizational structures that we work in and how that affects agency and our objectives/outcomes in order to make recommendations for the project as a whole.

Leah is stoked after our meeting last week in which we discussed possible options for incubator farm/edible food forests. Leah is currently researching soil remediation, soil analysis, designs of incubator farms, case studies, Curriculum ideas: Children, various ages, students, adults, seniors.

Tuesday
12pm: Open to Question with Brad Tucker (Institutional planning): On how Concordia measures its progress as an institution
Wednesday
5-7pm: Action Research discussion @ Burritoville
Thursday
3pm: Tea Rack construction
- we'll be having power tools and beer and get that guy finished.
Friday - Sunday
Food Secure Canada Conference
- Friday night: Wine and cheese at Shauna's
- Saturday night: Housewarming at Lennard's
