I've created a new web site, https://sites.google.com/site/concordgig, for supplemental information related to our submission.  It will replace the web pages that were part of the ConcordGig Google Group.  Google Sites, the host of this new web site, provides better tools for us to present our information in a more professional fashion.  Your suggestions about things which could be added to the web site are most welcome.

I want to thank you for your help in gathering the information that we've submitted in response to Google's Fiber For Communities collaboration invitation.  I've created a web site, https://sites.google.com/site/concordgig, which will enable us to continue to add and refine supplemental information.

This process has stimulated a lot of interest within the community and its got many of us thinking about what a 100 X faster Internet would mean.  We'll continue to build on this regardless of Google's decision.  The same process is going on in many communities throughout the US and that may encourage the Federal Government to move more aggressively to bring America back to the leading edge of this increasingly important part of our societal infrastructure.

Bob,

Excellent site, but an important link is broken:

This doesn't go anywhere!

This seems to be a working link:–

https://sites.google.com/site/concordgig/our-telcom-history

You can also get to it from the main page (https://sites.google.com/site/concordgig/) and click on the link labeled “Our Telecom History” on the left.

Hi Bob,

The site looks good. My only suggestions would be to 1) add mentions of the hospital and prison, to illustrate the variety of populations that would be served 2) augment the mention of the 'thriving commercial centers' to mention that we have a variety of commerce; small shops, mid-size corporate office buildings, even a few small factories, and 3) reorganize the pages to put the information in bulleted lists, which are generally accepted as easier to comprehend.  We want the Google folks to be able to just look at the pages and immediately see why we're the right town, not have to plow through paragraphs to pick out the salient information.

If you'd like, I'd be happy to try an update to the page text. I spent >20 years as a technical writer, so I have some background in making information easy to comprehend and assimilate.

Let me know if you'd like me to try; if so, I'll update one page and send the updated draft to you for your review.  If you like it, I'll work on the rest.

Nancy
