Mychildhood is made up of the Vietnamese house parties my parents used to drag me to, where they would wear out the staple karaoke machine as I hid with the other kids that were forced to come. We bonded over the sound of our parents screeching "Ước g" as we ate snacks and played video games in camaraderie. The night would end with my sisters and I begging our parents to go home, bored out of our minds and distressed from the many hours spent listening to tone-deaf performances.

Ronald Duby, Jr., 43, was arrested Saturday night at a Chelmsford pub on Princeton Street in North Chelmsford, according to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service in Concord. The tipster contacted the Chelmsford Police Department and Duby was arrested without incident.

Duby had been wanted on an outstanding Hillsborough County arrest warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to register as a sex offender/duty to inform. Duby is required to register as a sex offender as a result of a 1995 conviction for aggravated felonious sexual assault on a victim under the age of 13, according to the Marshals Service.

Duby was arrested by the Chelmsford Police Department and transported to their facility for processing and holding on his outstanding New Hampshire arrest warrant. Duby was charged as a fugitive from justice and was scheduled to appear today in Lowell District Court, according to the Marshals Service.

According to search warrants filed in December 2021 and returned to the county magistrate's office late last month, a landlord called 911 and said that Mead was covered in blood and had shot her boyfriend, Tinsley.

During an interview with the Sheriff's Office, Mead told detectives that she and Tinsley co-owned a karaoke company, and were playing a show at "Legends Bar" in Maggie Valley the evening leading up to the shooting, according to the search warrants.

Mead told detectives that the two argued because she texted him while he was trying to work, and she was outside drinking with one of Tinsley's friends, according to the search warrants. She told detectives that Tinsley "ultimately ended up pushing (Mead), and throwing his phone into the bushes."

"Joselynn Mead stated that she then ran to her landlords' home, and told them that she had shot Darrin," the search warrants say. "Joselynn stated that her cellphone was in her pocket at the time of the shooting, and with her throughout the evening. The phone was ultimately seized by patrol deputies as evidence."
