I purchased a USB tv tuner from dealextreme.com. The packaging is extremely generic .. labelled only "DVB-T Terrestrial TV stick".. I installed the included ArcSoft TotalMedia software and did a straight auto scan, discovering all channels EXCEPT any channel 10's. Now I've typically got pretty good reception, crystal clear analogue channel 10 on an analogue TV. I thought it was pretty strange that only channel 10 was left out so I am trying to manually add the channel somehow... However, though the "edit channel" screen has a button called "add channel", it is constantly greyed out. I can only start new auto scans.

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately I am in Perth. Not sure if I can use the channels list from Melbourne or not?? If the frequencies etc are the same then I would love a channel list file with all the channels on it if you can spare the time! Thanks very much...

I have rescanned 3 times with no luck, picks up all the other channels with full signal strength but no indication at all of channel 10. Have you ever tried manually adding a channel using your copy of TM? Maybe the version that came with mine is feature limited in some way... I tried updating it but it says I have the latest version.

Does anyone know what program to use to read/edit .chl files or is it a proprietary format that is difficult to do so? I've found a post in the Perth reception forum listing the various frequencies...

Thanks. I tried importing the channel file but it came up with an error. I was attempting to update using the programs internal updater which keeps telling me that this is the latest version. 3.0.7.100 is the version I am running.

Alternatively, can anyone suggest any other programs I might try? I have installed Mediaportal but it does not detect the tv tuner. I may be blind but I can't see a manual update link on the arcsoft website...

This is crazy I'm reasonably certain reception isn't an issue - have 100% on every channel detected. I just need a program that will recognise this damn usb tv tuner and let me manually enter channel frequencies lol...

OK it's definitely the tuner. The website sent me the T718 which does NOT pick up channel 10 for some reason. Swapped it over temporarily for a Asus Mycinema mini3000 and it picked up all channels in TM straight away. Swapped back to the Geniatech and though the channel was now in the channel list - selecting it produced no result.
