With the new version now being able to play youtube videos, is it possible to get the video plugin to reconise the html5 player url's ie

We use jail broken appleTV units as our browser running ATV Flash (Couch Surfer). Would be great it you were able to choose between the flash and html5 player.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete,
We should be building URLs that request non-Flash embeds, by default the AllowFlash option is set to false.  As an example, a piece of content like http://nightly.concerto-signage.org/feeds/5/submissions/1325 should be using the HTML5 player.

When I open http://nightly.concerto-signage.org/frontend/1 I see a few videos play using the HTML5 player.  Do you not?

Thanks Brian,

I am getting the same response from the screen going to your site as I am mine. The video wants to start playing but comes up saying this video is unavailable.

It may have something to do with our internal proxy. I get this sometimes if I have had a youtube playing on my laptop and hit the refresh button.

Will take a look at our proxy.

Thanks again

Pete

Hi,

I wonder if anyone is getting video to play reliably. I've see video once in all my attempts to get it to work. For example just now using the nightly.concerto-signage.org URL shown with a Chrome browser on a PC I don't see any video, though other content types are all shown OK. More generally I can see YouTube video from this browser OK etc. So for instance this URL works just fine in Chrome http://www.youtube.com/embed/mzPxo7Y6JyA so I have no general issue with video and my browser/network.

Is there some piece of information I'm missing or is it just unreliable and it's being fixed for the next release?

Happy to help in whatever testing or debug capacity I can.

Andy
