I have just installed the latest beta of concerto. I am playing with the RSS feed. My RSS feed is not updating. I saw a post about running rake to manually refresh the RSS feed. When I run the rake command I am getting the following error

You have already activated rake 10.1.0, but your Gemfile requires rake 10.0.4. Using bundle exec may solve this.

Is anyone else got RSS feeds that are not updating. I am also right that I don't need a cron job to update the dynamic content.

Thanks

Pete

Just to add to this post. I have done a complete re-install of the OS (Ubuntu) and completed the concerto-full installation. I am still having the issue where the feed is not update with any new content.

It shows the content that was available at the time of creating the RSS feed.  Would be great to know if anyone else is having the same issue.

Hi Pete,
We're tracking a few issues with Dynamic Content not updating, expect some fixes soon.  I'll let you know if we need any information to help reproduce.

Thanks Brian,

Is there a way to manually update the RSS feed.

Thanks

Two options:
1) Run `bundle exec rake dynamic_content:refresh` from the Concerto folder.
2) Update your concerto-simple-rss plugin to pull from the Git repository instead of the gem in Gemfile-plugins, which gives you access to the Manual Update button I added a few hours ago.

Does he need to set his environment when running the task?

Thanks Brian,

running the command manually is manually updating the feed. Is there a document on updating the simple-rss plugin ?

Thanks

Pete
