Three questions:

- Did any of the TVs update their firmware lately?
- When the display goes dark, do any of the menus/buttons  bring it back to life or do you have to power-cycle the TV?
- Have there been any recent changes to the mix of content you're displaying, particular WRT videos or iframes?

I've seen LG TVs be particularly aggressive at turning on the screensaver or entering energy-savings mode, you might have some luck reviewing the settings to make sure that's not happening. If these are OLEDs, I'm not sure you can even disable the screensaver [ref].

If the webpage itself is going black, but the screensaver isn't turning on - I wonder if there is some sort of strange memory leak or browser crash happening. The Concerto frontend hasn't been updated in a very long time, but maybe LG updated the Web Browser on their end?  That said, when my LG TV browser crashes I'm pretty sure it reverts to HDMI 1 and doesn't just hang on a black screen.

Hello,

My group is displaying a concerto URL on an LG signage TV using the native URL loader. The system has worked fine for about 6 months. Now, the screens are going to digital black. If I power-cycle the TV, the content briefly returns, only to go back to digital black a few minutes later.
  • We are deploying the same URL to 4 screens. All screens are behaving the same.
  • I set a different URL in the TV's URL loader, and that page displays just fine without error or digital black.
  • The problematic URL in question loads fine on a computer web browser.
This leads me to believe the issue is on the Concerto end, or the way it interfaces with the TV; unless the TV needs a firmware update or something. The university is on 2.3.6.

Any thoughts or ideas on what is happening and how to resolve? Any info or feedback is helpful and greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
