Unable to view video on Concerto player

I am new to Concerto Digital Signage and still trying to find out how to configure everything.

I downloaded the Concerto 2 VM server image and did apt-get upgrade to get the server to run on 2.3.5 currently. 

I downloaded the Concerto 2 Player Raw image (img.zip) and was able to write the file into a hard drive and have it running on a core i5 computer.  

All the image files that I uploaded to Concerto server can show up properly on the concerto 2 player without any issue, but when I try to upload self-hosted video or Youtube video, none of the video will show up.  

Both my self-hosted video and Youtube video can play without any issue when I view it directly on Concerto server (I did create the Youtube API key and installed it), but they just will not play (will show black screen) on concerto player. 

Could someone please tell me how can I troubleshoot this issue?

I don't have a fix for that issue, but the workaround I've been using is to convert all my videos to .webm format, embedding them in an html page on my webserver, and then adding the page to Concerto as an iFrame.
