Good Morning everyone,

New user to Concerto, and enjoying the experience so far - except I am trying to make my own templates for screens. When I try to use them to preview content or on a display, I just get a blank screen. I've looked at how the pre-supplied templates are setup and matched them to try and test, but no dice. Always blank. Is this an issue with 2.3.2-deb (APT install) or is there more I need to have in the template? (like css or something)

Would be great to get my own templates working...many thanks in advance!

Is the screen showing content with one of the built in templates?
Are there any JavaScript errors or 404s in the developer console on the screen?

The built-in templates are fine, all working perfectly. When I view in console on browser all looks ok, no glaring errors...but this is the source coming back from the server:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
 <meta charset="UTF-8">
 <title>Concerto - gallery-fullscreen</title>
 <link href="/assets/frontend/application-2e76a0a9b531b67ccb8b63e8bf78b6c2.css" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" />
 <script src="/assets/frontend/application-ee6303bd22b15598a0eb536e72ace841.js"></script>
 <meta content="authenticity_token" name="csrf-param" />
<meta content="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx=" name="csrf-token" />
 <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes"/>
 <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-status-bar-style" content="black-translucent"/>
 <meta name="format-detection" content="telephone=no"/>
   <!-- from concerto-frontend -->
 <script src="/assets/concerto_frontend/application-3cb5d33c1619b744af52a0c5ded5c152.js"></script>

  <link href="/assets/concerto_frontend/concerto-frontend-56041965bb183c2d841373e607b14452.html" rel="import" />
 <!-- end from concerto-frontend -->
<!-- from concerto-remote-video -->
 <link href="/assets/concerto_remote_video/concerto-remote-video-8a74f47f13e185e9224a36f3de4f8ad1.html" rel="import" />
<!-- end from concerto-remote-video -->

 <link href="/assets/concerto_iframe/concerto-iframe-05f6c899f086f6723d5c5020f1c77a47.html" rel="import" />
<!-- end from concerto-iframe -->
</head>
<body>

  <!-- from concerto-frontend -->
 <concerto-screen screen-id="3" preview="true" base-url=""></concerto-screen>
 <!-- end from concerto-frontend -->

</body>
</html>

It doesn't seem to have registered any <div> tags...or do they only come from css inclusions? I can see them appear if I look at preinstalled templates. I was hoping to be able to track down where the templates live in the db so I could copy one then just edit around it hoping that might fit the bill.

It's using polymer so that base page isn't going to show you much.
Have you seen this sample of how to create a template? https://groups.google.com/d/msg/concerto-digital-signage/CVWZ0c3wQqo/JT0EXHW-CAAJ
Are you seeing any javascript errors in the console?

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I'm new to Concerto and had the same issue. It requires a background image to be uploaded even if your content panes cover all of the visible area.

Same issue in 2023... 1 hour lost to figure that out :)
