one more quick sketch for brainstorming today.
keeping in mind that the public can't climb steps/ ramps -- the public walks into these structures.
this drawing shows how unique architectural installations could be collaged together - the structures would overlap sometimes under or over adjacent structures and by different amounts and artists could build one large portion or build smaller portions throughout.
the patchwork installation could rise organically/abstractly from all sides - no actual front, back, side so that it works on the round as a huge sculptural piece in itself that can be entered and approached visually in an interesting fashion no matter where the public happens to be.
the drawing shows 5 people building structures that the public walk through - is this right? are 5 total people building "housing" structures? Serra, Ben, Vanessa, Andrew, Nick?
Ranjit, are you building as well?
just thoughts to keep the ideas flowing.
Georgia, it would be great if hard copies of these could be given to everybody at flux (if possible) to mark on as we throw ideas around and i am happy to make another floor plan for Jean that reflects updates from the discussion today as a companion to the 3D sketch up.
soon,

No worries there, Serra – Some artists tend to be more email-savvy and others work really well in person, and as long as we can come to the table and hammer out some concepts together, we'll be golden. (I think we managed to plan our "small groups" well, in this case!) Still, with Rabid Hands in Philly over the next few weeks and several of us overseas, we'll need to keep the communication channels wide open!
