World acclaimed cellist, composer and multilingual vocalist singing in 30 languages, IAN MAKSIN will perform as part of his North American tour to support peace in Ukraine.
Portion of the ticket organizations supporting Ukraine.
From Balkan rhythms to West African groves, and from Argentine tango to music of Mongolian shamans, Maksin magically connects and brings together some of the most diverse elements of world music into a unique fusion, using his cello as the unifying force. Using loop pedal and other electronics, he augments the sound of his instrument into a virtual orchestra creating a one-of-a-kind listening experience. Singing in 30 languages from Arabic and Farsi to Polish and Ukrainian, and from French and Italian to Turkish and Mongolian, Maksin takes his listener on a most musical journey around the globe.
In this concert, Maksin will perform original music from his two most recent releases “The Alchemist” (2021) and “Sempre” (2019) as well as other new compositions.
