Ten...10 Days before Christmas
???? Do you really think there will be any citizens there ???
Maybe that is the reason for this so called urgent special meeting on a Saturday
just TEN DAYS BEFORE THE BIGGEST HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR. If you don't
take a stand and call this meeting off until January you should not be a Member
of any Council. What is the big rush ? I swear, I really think
you people have NO COMMON SENSE.
I thought the reason the City
purchased the Parker Property was due to the acreage to build a City
Complex or have the option to expand in the future. Now the Mayor don't
want any other buildings except the City Hall on the property, and its so
urgent we need a Saturday meeting ?

I am not a registered voter, however I am a property owner and I agree completely with Joe! We were told in the beginning that
property would be ideal to incorporate all city departments on one parcel, plus allow plenty of space for functions such as the
Gumbo Festival.
I see no feasible reason to make decision this Saturday!!! Are they going to start construction Monday, or God forbid on Sunday?
It has taken over 6 months just to decide on blueprint of building! Table this until the first of the year. Some people like
to travel and spend the Christmas holiday with friends and family.
