The API for ConceptNet 5.1 is now up and documented:

https://github.com/commonsense/conceptnet5/wiki/API

This API is much simpler than the previous one, and should make it
easy to do things like ask for edges matching "x is part of a car".
I'll try to answer any questions you may have.

I look forward to using it!

I fixed a few parenthesis and == bugs in conceptnet5/
cn5_webapi_client.py to get the new conceptnet to install properly,
but I'm still having a bit of a conceptual puzzle getting the new apis
working locally through the web interface. I've installed flask. It
would be really useful to me (and perhaps others) if there were a
guide on how to install, including the basic python install but also
how to load data files, and how to install/configure Solr if the api
is moving that way. I'm happy to help with this!

Indeed, cn5_webapi_client.py is not updated for ConceptNet 5.1.

It should be possible to write a much simpler client that access the
API described at https://github.com/commonsense/conceptnet5/wiki/API.
So far I've just been asking people to access the raw JSON. Would you
be interested in helping by updating the client?

Thanks,

Just wanted to pop in and thank you for this. Superb functionality
that's exactly what I needed right now. Can't wait to start taking
advantage of CN.
