Hello all,
I am a senior year computer science student and we are using your api service for a course project`s recommendation system. But we very often face 502 errors when we try to use your api. What I am interested in is if these problems are temporary issues due to some server maintenance? It would hurt us really badly if we fail to use your service during the in class demo. I know it is an open project and we can move the service to our own space but sadly we don't have that kind of resources such that a server with 30 gb of RAM.
Is there a more reliable service we can use or is there an alternative solution that you sir/madam can offer us?
We got the 502 results during our tests in yesterday(18 November) and often in less than 20 mins the service come back online. Furthermore, during the api service down time the website(http://conceptnet.io/) continued functioning as usual.
Regards,
Hakan Sirin

Sorry about the downtime!

I've just moved the API to a new server, and also gone back to enforcing reasonable rate limits on the API. It seems to be doing well now.

We tend to very rarely go down and if we do we're usually more responsive - a lot of people use this for a lot of things. It's also the Seminal deadline (http://alt.qcri.org/semeval2018/index.php?id=tasks) which made response times a bit slow. Luckily for all involved Semeval happens only once a year. ;)
