The "RNA World"

I came across this paper --

Please notice that -- although the amount of free RNA in the sea

outnumbers all other forms of life by at least an order of magnitude

very little is known about it   !!!

Perhaps our impression of the "biosphere" is short-sighted and

biassed too much towards higher life forms..?

Perhaps we are still really only a feature of the "RNA world"...(?)
