I just bought a new computer running windows 10 home and cannot get the computer to recognize the MF3240 as anything other than a scanner. I've reinstalled the drivers from the Canon site and no luck. It only comes up as a scanner. My previous computer was also running windows 10 home and worked without issue. Any help is appreciated.
Try the suggestions of giacobe in this thread. Installing the 3 individual *.INF files from the Canon MF3240_MFDrivers_W64_us_EN download worked for me, and I've been trying to find a driver (or driver installation method) that would work for probably 4 years.

My Canon ImageCLASS MF3240 is not supported by Canon for Linux drivers any longer. It did when I bought it, the box clearly said Windows, Mac,& Linux, but I cant find the CD to see if a driver is there)

If that does not work try executing the install.sh-Script if it is included in the driver .tar.gz-file of your driver (can be downloaded from the Canon Website, Section Drivers). Afterwards try adding the printer from the GUI again, that's what I just did and it works perfectly.
Once the printer and scanner drivers are installed, connect your device to the computer and start Printers utility test if it works. And launch the Simple Scan utility and select your scanner from app menu Documents -> Preferences -> Scan Source to test if the scanner works.
