One of the strengths of CompuTrak is that the various pieces of data
that appear in the reports, e.g., Predicted Finish Time, Early Speed,
Friction, etc., are derived from an accurate mathematical approach
using the real data.
These greatly aid a handicapper in his thinking through of the
handicapping process by his knowing that the data he obtains from the
program are solid values.
So, for example, knowing that Friction is especially important in turf
routes, a handicapper can confidently take this into account. The same
idea is true for the other outputs.
The CompuTrak "Picks", uses a mathematical algorithm to generate its
choices. It takes the various output values and uses the algorithm to
derive its selections. These selections do not equate, on an
individual basis, with the top values in the output reports.
