I'm running OpenOffice and not Excel, and I'm having some trouble with the CT charts function.  Each time I process a race and click on the "Charts" output, the spreadsheet shows information from the 2nd race at Santa Anita on 17 October 2004.  This appears to be a sample graph included with the CT program.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed.  Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lawrence

When you first bring up the charts, that sample race comes up. This is to show you that your system is working.
To see the charts for the track you just processed, AND YOU HAVE AN EARLIER EXCEL VERSION, click on the Excel "Toolswhen a chart is on the screen.
You will see choices such as Race1Data, Race2Data, etc. Just click on the race you want to view and it will be shown.

If you decide to save  the chart, that will be the one that comes up the next time and all you need do is click on "Tools" again to view the latest ones. If you don't save any chart, the sample chart will come up, again the next time.
Additional Info:

1.-Microsoft has moved the Excel "Tools" link in recent versions of Excel (Probably true in Open Office also). We have been informed by users that depending on the Excel version they have they could learn where the tools link is by checking with Google.
2.-The Graphs are not necessary for successful handicapping as the text is taken directly from the Extensive Report, and the graphs themselves show three of the Extensive Report outputs.

Now that I'm running Excel 2013, I can view the reports without any difficulties by following Thoroughbred's guidelines.  I couldn't get the OpenOffice to work at all.
