Hey all, attendance has been poor thanks to all the summer vacations,
so this week (Tuesday July 22) will be a light topic (with light
content). I'm hoping some of you chat-addicts will come and share
what your favorite tools are. The time can also be used to go over
any of the prior talks for the month (Digital Photography, Free
Software Alternatives, Laptop Hardware). If you think you can come

Details: Internet Chat has gone beyond the days of lol and
emoticons and now replaces basic phone service for millions of people
world-wide. Let's get together to learn what your favorite chat
programs are and see if we can set up some new connections.

Computer Room News: Older Style Hard Drives (IDE) are being phased out
of production entirely. Larger drives (300GB+) stopped being
produced last year and mid-sized drives will stop this year. By end
of next year IDE drives will become a difficult item to buy. We can't
recommend any of the SATA to IDE adapters. Even the most expensive
ones we've tried have failed under heavy use and require replacement.
