          Kindly find enclosed herewith a copy of D.O. Letter No.36-23/2012-BD & MD dated 27.07.2012 by email from Chief General Manager, BD Directorate, New Delhi regarding delivery of Rakhi mail for information and necessary action.

 

          It is requested that necessary instructions may be given to all delivery Post Offices to deliver the Rakhi mail promptly and before date of Rakhi Festival

 

          Secretary (Posts) further desires that if, needed special delivery of Rakhi Mail should be ensured so that all the recipients get their Rakhi before the date of Rakhi festival on 2nd August 2012 which has been received by Post Offices for delivery by 01 August 2012.

          Hon’ble MOS (C&IT)(P) has desired that on the occasion of Rakhi festival (Rakshabandhan), special arrangements, including extra working hours, if need be, may please be made in all the Post Offices for timely delivery of Rakhi. 

         

          Secretary (Posts) has further directed me to convey to you that close watch and monitoring of delivery of Rakhi mail should be ensured at the highest level in your Circle.  You may also please note that the next few days are crucial for the delivery of Rakhi mail.  Secretary (Posts) further desires that, if needed, special delivery of Rakhi mail should be ensured so that all the recipients get their Rakhi before the date of Rakhi festival on 2^nd August 2012 which has been received by Post Offices for delivery by 01 August 2012.
