+ Education Types

By the word education, most of us recall our school days. But education is not only the one, which one gets in his school or college. People may say, yes-yes we know, the real educator is the life itself. The real life experiences form the real education of a person.

But I differ a bit here. Experiences are not education - they are wisdom, which is way beyond education. Even after saying that, I have experienced that school / college education is just one of the two educations, a person should get in his life, to become a complete "successful" personality.

School education arguably readies one to more or less earn for living. But that alone should not be counted as success. Real success is when someone is happy with whatever he or she does. And that is where the second type of education is mandatory, which prepares one to face and deal with challenges in life with happiness.

You might be wondering as to which education am I talking about, "I have never received any such education in life". Possibly you have. Just that you never counted it as one. And if you have not received, it is never late to get educated about it. It is the spiritual education - education about one self.

Most of our school education revolves around educating about others, rarely about self. And hence, it is only one's parents or best case a spiritual guru, who can impart such education. And hence, it becomes a very important role of a parent to inculcate spirituality in his / her child from an early age itself. Yes early age, if not before, at the least it should start alongwith when the child has started going to a so-called play school. If not yet started, it should be started now, as that is what we very often refer as "samskaar".

A common fundamental question arises among parents that when I myself don't know much about it, how can I teach that to my child. A simple fundamental answer to that is find a spiritual guru, learn yourself from the guru and then guide your child - if possible take your child alongwith to the guru.

Having no time should not be an excuse either - one must prioritize it, as that is the most important responsibility as parents to build a beautiful human being out of their child. Earlier, one realizes, the better it is.

As, only the person having the balance of both the educations - school and spiritual, in real sense, would be a real happy successful person, capable of dealing with any situation in life. Otherwise, there is no dearth of stories of even so-called successful people committing suicides, being unable to handle tough situations.
