Creative SBS A520 subwoofer not working

Hi All,

I bought a Creative SBS A520 5.1 speaker system 4 months back. 15 days back the subwoofer stopped producing bass. I tried changing the bass level but no hope. If I keep full bass level then i get a bass spikes here and there.

If i keep bass level one place then it works at that bass level. if i change the base level then it stops working. I thought the bass control  potentiometer is gone. so i bought 47K potentiometer(B50K is the one which comes inside the speaker for bass control). Even after replacing the potentiometer still the problem exists.

So the problem is not with potentiometer i think. There is an amplifier ic on the board BT9843 BoomTech6 its heating up like a non stick tava. I am wondering whether the IC is gone  or the subwoofer is blown ? 

If i touch the 3.5mm audio input then i am getting the sound from subwoofer continuosly.

The funny part is speaker is still under waranty. Being lazy to goto service center, i tried fixing it myself. i dont know whether i can still take it to servicer center .

Now the Questions:

How can i find which part of the speaker system is gone ?
