1. Pure entertainment site: A pure entertainment site is a site
usually not to make money. It doesn't sell much, usuallly has few ads,
a lively background, (sometimes even an animated background), plenty
of graphics and flash, effects,and is usually for kids. An example of
this type of website can be found at:

2. Typical site: A typical site usually has a medium amount of ads and
is aimed at making money. It usually sells a product or products, has
a light background, (rarely an animated one), lots of graphics, little
flash, possibly a few effects, and often has a program or tool made
for sale or for download. It can be for any age group. Two examples of
this type of site are:
Godaddy.com
and
bravenet.com
3. Formal Buisness site: A formal buisness site usually has little to
no ads and may or may not be aimed at making money. It might sell a
product, or if not it's usually a search engine, consisting of a white
or very light background, (never animated), some graphics, little to
no flash, no effects, and is often aimed at adults. Two examples of
this type of site are:
www.agloco.com
www.google.com
And of course there's spam and virus sites but <u>don't make those. </

There are variations, but when choosing a site, you should choose one
of the three main types of sites, it will help you get a little more
organized
