dell vitual memory problem

ok well heres the problem. i got this dell laptop that is having
vitual memory problems. the problem started after i deleted the two
operating systems on it. so it has nothing to do with installing
memory because i didn't put any more memory in it. its a dell
insprone 3200 and its used. it works fine other wize. is there any way
to fix this small but anoying problem. it would be very help full if
some one can help me with this pain in my ass.


ps.
this laptop is not conected to a sever of any kind. also
any references to any other posts that i put on will earn you a kick
in the ass

kicked A$$ jonny,
through the My Computer's right click, and on advanced
tab,performance,settings,advanced tab, virtual memory, change, system
managed size OR set it as 1.5times your memory....

dont kick any more,,,,or u will be kicked.,

it didn't work. it says that the supend to disk is missing dose that
mean any thing to any one. please get back to me

Inspiron 3000 and 3200 Running Windows 95
Insert the Inspiron System Utilities Diskette for Win95 and start or
restart the computer.
At the A:\> prompt, type PHDISK /DELETE /FILE.

NOTE: There is a space before each forward slash.
Press the <Enter> key.
At the prompt, restart the computer.
At the A:\> prompt, type PHDISK /CREATE /FILE.

NOTE: There is a space before each forward slash.
Press the <Enter> key.
Remove all diskettes and CDs from the computer.
At the prompt, restart the computer.
Inspiron 3200 Running Windows 98 or Windows NT®

Boot to an MS-DOS® CD-ROM boot disk, such as the Windows 98 Startup
Disk, or restart in MS-DOS Mode.

NOTE: For more information on available CD-ROM boot disks, refer to

Place the Inspiron System Utilities Diskette in the A: drive.
If you are not at an A:\> prompt, type A:

Select Start computer with CD ROM support. Make note of the letter
assigned to the CD drive.

At the x:\> prompt, type CD Utility.
Press the <Enter> key.

Reboot the system.
Repeat steps 3 - 9.

yea but what about windows xp. how can i fix it with that because i
dont have a copy of win. 98.

I would just reinstall Xp(full or repair install) if that is you main
os and reformat the drive if you are not trying to save any files, how
were you running the two os sytems? as two actual os systems or did
you use something like VMware and set it up as a virtual machine?

Are all virtual tools and software from second os removed from
computer? along with there file folders and so on? If not delete
them.

That is all I have for ideas right now, Keep it simple!

It's basically the same throughout the versions so why not try the win
98 way on xp ;)
