New buld not working.

  Have started building a new computer.    When done, it would turn on for 0,5 sec then off.  Have done the paperclip test on the power supply with positive results.  Have stripped off everything from the mobo except the 20 +4 power connection,one stick of RAM,  the CPU, the power switch wire and the sound wires.   No changes, no beeps, no nothing,   Anybody read this forum anymore that might offer advice
