3G mobile broadband problem

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have IBM IntelliStation M Pro PC. When I installed airtel 3G mobile
broadband with D-Link dongle in Windows XP OS, it shows 2G
connectivity. SO what is the problem and please tell me the solution
for this.

Hi Ramesh
Firstly have you confirmed that there is indeed 3g coverage in your area? If so is it working now on another device like a phone?
Which application are you using to mange the data connection? Is is Mobile Partner or an Airtel application? In any case there is usually a setting on the application that can limit you to 2G connectivity. Please see the attached manual pg 13.

3G broadband works on windows 7 on same computer.But at some time it
turns to 2G.
