Hey All,
Very irritated by the fact that I have just upgraded my HP Presario to
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit, I installed all my necassary programs I
then connected to my home wireless network. I browsed the Internet for
a couple of minutes, only to find that it cut out, I thought this may
just be a one off cut-out, it connected again, and I was able to
browse once more. Then once again my Internet cut out. It does this
after about 5 - 10 minutes of Internet use then cuts out! Please if
anyone has a solution, let me know below!

Thanks in advance.

Well if it was working fine on the old operating system then its probably the driver's problem, try to look for an alternative driver, check the HP site and try google to find other people who faced the same problem, you'll probably find a solution, or some way to get around the problem.
you should aslo should get the wireless card's name as a start, and search if it has problems with the windows 7 driver.
And btw, did you use the HP's driver, or the windows 7 driver?

I went on the HP Website and contacted "online technical support",
they said to Install a driver that they gave me a link to, when I
installed it, It said not supported on this system! When it was a
specific 64 Bit Windows 7 Driver, Im really not sure what to do, apart
from reinstall the whole operating system again!

maybe its a 32bit driver or something, does the driver say that it works on 64? The driver file will usualy have "x86_64" or something like that in its name...
could you put the link for the page that has the download link to the driver please.

this could resolve the issue

Actually... No firewall has absolutely anything to do with the
described 'connecting'/'loss of connection' issue (unless it is a very
badly written firewall).
I have seen similar problem which were usually caused the the router.
Usually it is a router with WPA2-PSK authentication/encryption
(running in wireless 'N' mode). The ones I have seen that give this
problem are usually ones which have the 'push the button' setup where
you have to 'push the button' the very first time you connect to it
before it will actually work. And, for some reason every once in a
while it loses track and you need to 'push the button' again to get it
to connect again (recently the one which I had problems with was a
Linksys/Cisco wireless N with the button).
