I thought bout this for a while and decided to make a post out of this
In my mind I believe there is about maybe 4 types of gamers. (This
post is from the top of my head so stuff might not come out right on
this) and this is an open post so go ahead and right ur opinions down.
The basic groups are
-Hardcore Gamers=These gamers have a broad range of experience (In
games) and are usally in a much older generation. The exp. rangers
from FPS to RTS etc.
-Retro Gamers= This could be a sub head to hardcore but usally comes
out with the gamer born around the NES times. OLD SChOOl!
-Young Blood=I'm watchin everybody hates chris....I count us gamers
(Most of the members of da club) as this groups of gamers. We know the
exsist of retro consoles such as the NES and the DreamCast but we like
to stay around the 360's and stuff. Most "Young Blood" gamers are born
around the year of Windows 2000 (Most greatest thing that happend to
comps)
-Nintendo babies= These guys are the 05's who play Wii all day and DSI
all night. Even younger than Young Blood gamers. Dont know anything
bout retro games, but thats wat parents are for.
So yea. To sum all of this up: Hardcore are hybrids of retro and young
blood; Retro gamers are just gamers who always would like to return to
classic gaming (Emulator users); Young Blood gamers are the much newer
gen. of gamers, who know bout the classics and the new stuff; and
nintendo babies are just the even newer gamers who are poisned by the
black magic of nintendo. I mean, the best way to enjoy games is to
start off with the classics, not with the hardcore stuff. I started
off with the PSX, and moved to 360. An even balance of awsomeness.
