Deleriously Happy Purchaser

I do photography as a hobby and have always been concerned with being able to see my photos on my monitor as I saw them through my eyes and through my Nikon Digital cameras and my Nikon Lenses (very high quality bodies and lenses). I have dual monitors and use an Epson 3000 printer. The printer allows me to use a large variety of photo papers to include rolls. I use an Xrite Colormunki to profile my monitors, and printer papers and therefore get very reliable results from camera thru post-processing and printing. This new Samsung SyncMaster S27B971D LED is replacing one of my two SyncMaster 2443 monitors. The whites and blacks are absolutely phenomenal. The colors are sharp and the crispness is amazing. I was very pleased with my previous monitors but this new monitor was well worth the additional expense. I primarily use Capture NX for most of my post processing due to its non-destructive nature. I still resort to Adobe products on occasion, but that is rare due to the
strength of Captures ability to work so well with Nikon's RAW files and being so much easier to work with and the workflow being much easier for me to use.
This Samsung Monitor works as advertised and will dazzle you with its clarity with you zoom-in to the pixel level for manipulation of a photo. I am 70 years old and my eyes need all the help they can get. I have fewer problems with this monitor at the highest resolution when and viewing at 100% size of the font characters. I will probably set aside some of my money and replace my other monitor with a second S27B971D Samsung. This will allow me to do all my work in much greater workspace and have many more instances of worksheets, documents, and Windows open at the same time. WOW! What a treat that will be. Even greater than I have been able to do in the past. I'll really become a hog.
