This group is intended for discussion about the Challenge, including
topics related to the rules and other organizational issues such as
* performance measures: graph-distances, splitting criteria, etc. What
do you think is the best way to compare suggested solutions to the
correct stemma? Note that the measure should preferably be applicable
to general graphs, not only trees, either directly or indirectly.
* input/output formats: Should preprocessed versions of the data-sets
be provided? What would be an appropriate format for solutions? One
potential alternative for the latter is the DOT format used by Graphviz
(http://www.graphviz.org); another is a simple adjacency matrix.
Please feel free to ask questions or comment on any of these or other
topics.
