I am having a strange issue with running Stylo on Window that is replicating across some different machines:

Error in hclust(as.dist(distance.table), method = linkage) :
NA/NaN/Inf in foreign function call (arg 11)
Error during wrapup: cannot open the connection

I tried tried to replace all NAs with zero, but that didn't resolve the issue (and not sure it would have).

Any ideas? With thanks.

Hi James,

can you provide any input parameters that you've been using? Basically, "cannot open the connection" usually suggests some problems with reading the text files form hard drive, e.g. encoding mismatches. Do you get the same error what you run it on your own time-proven corpus?

Best,
Maciej

So it's a strange situation: when I select UTF-8 as the encoding scheme, it works on a time-proven corpus that I know is UTF-8.

But when I create a new corpus on the same computer, it does not work. So obviously something strange with the operating system's encoding, and not an issue with Stylo.
