Dear Colleagues,
We are recruiting a 3-year Postdoctoral Associate to join the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi for a Computational Social Science project on the coevolution of ingroup bias and group boundaries. The position will be jointly supervised by Professors Blaine Robbins, Mario D. Molina, and me.
The project examines how ingroup bias emerges when people belong to multiple, overlapping groups, and how group boundaries are formed and reshaped through local interactions. To explore these dynamics, we will analyze large-scale digital trace data (e.g., Yelp, Airbnb, Stack Exchange) and conduct virtual lab experiments. We are especially interested in candidates with strong skills in data science (handling large-scale data) and experimental methods, and with a deep interest in questions of group formation, intergroup relations, and the role of socially constructed information.
The position offers excellent research support, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits. For more details and to apply, please visit:

Best Regards,
