Hi everyone! I am testing a data-driven system that writes songs based on user-given lyrics. I would love to test it in conjunction with generated poetry or lyrics. If you have a system that generates either, and you wouldn’t mind finding out how they would sound in a song, please get in touch with me.

Here’s more about the automated songwriting system with a sample song it was used to make: http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~ackerman/research.html?#songwriting

Please forward this message to interested parties.

Thanks,

Maya

Hi Maya,

In 2007, I developed a system that does exactly the opposite. Tra-la-Lyrics writes lyrics based on user-given melodies.
An article about a new version of this system was recently published:

The new version is built on the top of PoeTryMe, a poetry generation system, also developed by me.
I would be glad to send you generated poems, or we could try to do something involving Tra-la-Lyrics (check if the original melody has anything to do with the generated one?).

I can either send you some text, or I can give you details to use a recently developed, but still undocumented, Web API.

Best regards,
Hugo
