Calling all creativity researchers…we’re back!
UK Creativity Researchers’
Annual Conference
Wednesday
26th June 2024, at the University of Buckingham.
Exciting news!
Firstly, we would like to congratulate our colleague and co-founder, Dr Lindsey Carruthers, on the arrival of her baby boy
this year, and wish her well with her maternity leave in 2024.
Secondly, we would like to announce the date for this year’s UK Creativity Researchers’ Conference which will be held at the
University of Buckingham on
Wednesday 26th June, and this year’s theme will be
Contemporary Ideas in the Psychology of Creativity.
Please do
save the date in your calendars and we will be announcing
registration opening soon!
In the meantime, we are seeking help from you - our network.
To further explain…
This year, instead of having a well-established name as one keynote opening our conference, we would like to accentuate the
voices of our network’s earlier career researchers (ECRs) and post-graduate students. Here we aim to reflect our roots as three early career researchers who founded the conference and network in 2017 and echo our continued approach in our previous conferences
to create an inclusive and level space for promoting good research and networking.
So instead of a traditional keynote – we will present to you our network’s “newnotes”!
So we reach out to anyone relatively new to our network or who identifies as an earlier career researcher or postgraduate student.
In particular we would like to call on supervisors and research leads to nominate ECRs working in the contemporary area of creativity, for example – new methodologies, the role of artificial intelligence, sustainability, etc.
If you would like to present at our 2024 conference as one of our opening “newnotes” or if you’d like to nominate someone else
(with their consent!) - please do send us a brief email with the name and brief outline of the area of research by the end of April (30th) to:
UKCreativit...@gmail.com
We look forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes
Shelly & Gill
