The Autotelic Interaction Research (AIR) group at the Department of Computer Science, Aalto University, Finland is looking for 1 Doctoral Researcher (2+2 years) and 1 Postdoc (2 years) to work on Autotelic Creative AI (ACAI), a project funded by the Research Council of Finland!
Critical at its core, the ACAI project combines creative practice and fundamental CC/CogSci/ALife/HCI research to identify alternative and
sustainable paths to creative AI. Rather than optimizing
systems to replicate established human aesthetics or processes, we
investigate the conditions under which AI might operate as a genuinely
creative agent.
