Hi everyone,

I've been asked to present on how CC stands to benefit society at the United Nation's AI for Good Summit. I'd love to include recent work by our community. If your research has societal implications, please reach out to me: ackerm...@gmail.com

Thanks!

Hi Maya,

Thank you for your note.

A lot of work on computational creativity in the domains of science and

education adds significant social value.

Best regards,
Ashok

PS: See you at the UN Global Summit on AI for Social Good at the end of the month.

Hi Maya,

Sounds fantastic - congratulations!

Back in 2017 I did a review on ICCC papers according to domain - which may be helpful to your search. paper is here:
appendix of papers according to topic is available here:

One that stuck in mind in relation to dementia care might be of direct interest to you:
Zachos, K., and Maiden, N. 2013. A computational model of analogical reasoning in dementia care. In Proceedings of the Fourth International Conference on Computational Creativity, volume 48.

Best of luck with it,
Róisín

Hi Maya,

The paper I did at last year's conference on CC for ethics might be relevant?  It's pretty speculative, but it might still be useful in some way.  Good luck and represent us well!

Best,

Dan

Hi Maya,

At ICCC in 2017, Dan Brown, Anne Sullivan, and I organized a workshop on CC for Social Justice. The papers and summary of discussion from that workshop is archived here:

Dear Maya,

If I may share with you a recent paper that is freely available from PLOS One: We developed a novel automatic music generation system that creates music in real-time based on the listener's brain state to help listeners regulate their mood. (The music generation algorithm is embedded in a closed-loop BCI system). We have tested the system with healthy adults, and hope to validate the system with patients suffering from mental health issues (depression, anxiety) soon.
Here is the reference:
Ehrlich, S. K., Agres, K. R., Guan, C., & Cheng, G. (2019). A closed-loop, music-based brain-computer interface for emotion mediation. PloS One14(3), e0213516. DOI:10.1371/journal.pone.0213516

Many thanks,
Kat
