Dear Colleagues,

As part of their ongoing Digital Conversations servies, the British Library will be holding an evening event on the topic of Computational Creativity on Thursday February 18.  The two hour (6 to 8) session will involve very brief presentations and demonstrations from several people working in the field:

 - Simon Colton, Painting Fool
 - Cat Gale, Beyond the Fence: The World's First Computer Generated Musical
 - Frederic Fol Leymarie, AutoGraff and Aikon
 - Tom Hedges, Generating jazz lead sheets
 - Burkhard Schafer, Copyright, law and ethics of machine co-production
 - Me (Stephen McGregor), Distributional semantic models and poetic creativity

This will be followed by what's bound to be a lively panel discussion moderated by Anna Jordanous.  There will also be snacks and drinks provided by the Library.  And this event is entirely free, but acquiring tickets is still essential, so please sign up here if you'd like to attend:

Hope to see some of you there!

Kind Regards,
Stephen
