Dear all,

The computational creativity video "Machine Learning Techniques for Reorchestrating the European Anthem", produced by the SONY CSL
Music Team, has been shortlisted for the AAAI16 Video Competition and it is now concurring for the People's Choice Award, based on the number of "likes" that each video gets.

You can give a look to our video here:

and press the like button if you find it interesting! That would help us a lot and would give visibility to artistic applications of AI.

The video (which is the only one about computational creativity) - illustrates the AI techniques behind each orchestration. Ode to Joy has been orchestrated in 7 different styles (for instance Bach chorales, Brazilian guitar, Lounge, the Beatles' Penny Lane, jazz...).
We have used different techniques for each style. For instance, the Bossa Nova accompaniment was produced using original guitar recordings, the Lounge harmonization was produced from transcriptions of lounge theme, the jazz 6-voices harmonization was produced from transcriptions of Take 6 harmonizations and a system exploiting Markov constraint techniques.

We really hope you enjoy the result!

Thanks for your help!
