ensure the design, development, maintenance and support of systems that meet
the needs of the users and organization. As well, the position will ensure
compliance with Information Technology standards and practices.
Responsibilities
Design and develop technical system requirements based on end user needs.
Develop, test and debug application code. Provide second level support for
business applications. Develop, update and maintain technical documentation.
Qualifications
Five (5) years experience in a progressive and diverse
development/production environment as a senior programmer/systems analyst on
a number of successful projects. Previous exposure to full life cycle
development. Experience in a production or departmental support role would
be an asset. Excellent problem solving abilities and requires minimal
supervision. Results oriented systems professional with strong verbal and
written communication skills. Able to maintain relationships with end users,
clients and vendors. Self directed Operating Systems: Windows NT Programming
Tools: VB6, ActiveX, ADO, and Crystal Reports/Info. Strong rapid application
development (RAD) in a Windows NT environment. Oracle RDBMS application
development skills are required. Web based development with IIS, Java Script
and HTML would be an asset. Knowledge of Object Oriented programming, Object
Databases, and/or multi-dimensional databases. University Degree in Computer
